Archetype is a great new word for the fabulous \u201cWord of the Week\u201d submitted by Luke, one of my grandsons (they are all above average).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is defined by Webster as \u201cThe original or model of all things of the same type are representatives or copies. Prototype. A typical example of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe is the archetype<\/strong> of a successful businessman.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is pronounced kind of like ARE keh type.The keh being quick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Archetype is also used in the psychology of Carl Jung, and that gets quite complicated involving the unconscious.  If you are interested in this I suggest Wikipedia,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But for now let\u2019s stick with  \u201ctypical example of\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
