An interesting statement for sure. The world is certainly changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nexus<\/strong> is another great word for the fabulous Word of the Week.  It is a noun and is all about connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It refers to a connection or link between two or more things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe nexus<\/strong> between poverty and crime.\u201d  <\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can also refer to a central point or junction where things come together.  The intro sentence by Joe Boden is a good example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe bookstore has become something of a nexus<\/strong> for the downtown neighborhood.\u201d<\/em> It is pronounced just as you think it should be\u2026.like Lexus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The nexus<\/strong> between climate change and biodiversity loss is becoming increasingly clear.”<\/em> – Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m sure you\u2019re getting the idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is another great word that definitely should be a part of your vocabulary.  It is easy to work into your communication and will make you appear intelligent (even if you are not) but not pretentious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
