This is a word for us old folks.  It’s word I have never heard before, but the youth are very familiar with it. Now you too will understand this word thanks to the fabulous Word of the Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Webster:  A situationship<\/em> is a romantic or sexual relationship whose members have not formally defined it or officially committed to it.  It often lacks clear labels or definitions and is characterized by ambiguity regarding the partners’ feelings and intentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmerica\u2019s most breathlessly covered <\/em>situationship<\/strong><\/em> \u2014 between Kansas City\u2019s All-Pro tight end, Travis Kelce, and pop music\u2019s biggest star, Taylor Swift \u2014 was playing out on prime-time television<\/em>.” NYT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From AI\u2026..In a situationship, individuals may engage in behaviors typically associated with dating.  This can create a unique dynamic where both parties may feel connected yet uncertain about the future of their relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can be fun and fulfilling for some but may also lead to confusion or hurt feelings, particularly if one person is seeking more commitment than the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Situationship may also be used instead of terms like partner<\/em>,<\/em> to refer to the person you are in a relationship with.  \u201cHe\u2019s my situationship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
